Colin is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in quality assurance, specialising in enabling businesses and individuals to achieve optimal efficiency. His extensive background in contract management and commercial expertise has equipped him with the skills necessary to navigate complex business landscapes and drive organisational success.
In addition to his corporate achievements, Colin is a passionate football coach and manager with more than two decades of experience coaching football and managing at county level. He has dedicated his career to developing elite grassroots players, fostering their skills, and guiding them towards their full potential. Colin’s commitment to nurturing talent and his strategic approach to coaching have made him a respected figure in the football community.
Colin also boasts over 10 years of experience liaising with United Kingdom and international football clubs and players, where he has built valuable relationships that enhance his professional network. This experience has further enriched his understanding of the football industry and its dynamics.
Colin’s unique blend of business acumen and coaching expertise positions him as a multifaceted leader, dedicated to excellence in both the corporate and sporting arenas. His ability to inspire and motivate teams, combined with his analytical mindset, allows him to contribute significantly to any organisation or team he is involved with.

Football Consultant and Assistant Head of UK Recruitment
CM SPORTS MANAGEMENT are delighted to welcome Scott Hughes as a Assistant Head of UK Recruitment. Scott is a driven, focused, and honest sports consultant with over 15 years of experience in football management, grassroots development, and scouting.
His relentless work ethic ensures that the athletes he works with, from aspiring footballers to young boxing talents, receive the best opportunities and support to excel in their careers.
Scott began his football journey with Burton Albion FC, where he spent two years refining his skills before moving to Tranmere Rovers' Football Education Programme. After a successful two years there, he joined Rochdale AFC, spending three years in player development and scouting. Eventually, Scott shifted his focus towards managing individual football players and boxers on a daily basis, securing contracts, meeting their needs, and helping them realise their full potential.
Scott’s vast expertise is backed by an impressive list of qualifications. He holds the FA Level 2 Coaching Badge, as well as certifications in safeguarding and welfare, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all athletes under his care. His deep understanding of talent identification is demonstrated through advanced training in the leadership and principles of scouting. Additionally, Scott has completed multiple courses in football data analysis and performance evaluation, which allow him to make informed, strategic decisions when assessing player potential. With qualifications in both technical scouting and football scouting, he is well-equipped to spot future stars and nurture their development.
In boxing, Scott has become a key player within a successful team working with People’s fighters Cuban Boxing, a prominent boxing management company. He collaborates with some of the biggest promoters in the world, working tirelessly to ensure his fighters secure the best contracts and career opportunities. Scott’s ability to identify and nurture world-class talent, particularly among young boxers, has cemented his reputation in the sport.
